Being able to lead the mobile technology craze has been a mine field for business organizations.
According to a recent report by Gartner, the entire BYOD (bring your own device) has created several “unintended consequences” in gauging the mobile workforce. Corporations have been feverishly attempting to stay in front of the adoption of organization’s information technology its employees to remain agile while controlling costs and security concerns.
Not surprisingly, mobile technology has been identified as another 2014 trend, specifically in the area of mobile applications. Gartner believes that html 5 and JavaScript performance will focus application development to browser-based environment. The mobile application boom has created a wide array of development tools; estimating over 100 vendor in this product space.
Rounding out the other trends from the Gartner Report are:
- The Internet of Everything … the management of enterprise-based assets such as televisions,
- The Cloud/Client Architecture … the increased demand and cost of network infrastructure, and
- 3-D Printing … Expected to grow 75% in 2014.
